Flora Nikrooz was founded by Flora and her husband in 1982 with a focus on luxurious sleepwear and daywear. Her first 12-piece collection was an instant hit, with sales of over $1 million.
Flora quickly established herself as the premier designer of bridal intimate apparel, creating "red carpet wear for the bedroom," and soon grew into a multimillion-dollar, multi-national enterprise.
Always an innovator, in the 1990s, Flora was the first sleepwear designer to launch a "bridal sleepwear shop" at Saks - a concept that rapidly spread across the country.
In 2003, Flora Nikrooz was acquired by Age Group Ltd., where Flora remains as President of Design and continues to develop product with her individual flair for feminine styling.
Today, Flora Nikrooz is marketed under two distinct brands: Flora Nikrooz Collection, made exclusively in the New York City and available at Bloomingdale's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord and Taylor, and specialty stores worldwide; and Flora by Flora Nikrooz, available at Macy's and other department stores. Each label reflects Flora's unique design sensibility and commitment to excellence at every price point.
